King’s Valley Christian School, Concord rolled its way to the 100th Day of School by collecting 1,049 rolls of tape, paper towels, and toilet paper, along with boxes of pencils, pens, markers, and copier paper for the Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek.
On February 6th, Contra Costa Times columnist and former Lindsay Wildlife Museum curator, Gary Bogue, thanked and congratulated the student body for its accomplishment. In addition to treating over 6,000 native California wildlife animals each year, the museum offers a wide variety of environmental education classes for all ages. Materials collected by the students will support future museum programs.
King’s Valley administrators, Dan Prescott and Marti Maple, accompanied a group of second graders to the museum where they enjoyed a class and tour and delivered the collected materials to Docent Manager, Polly Gusa.
