Mrs. Mikes has been employed at King’s Valley Christian School since 1997.  She began as a substitute teacher, instructing preschool, kindergarten, and first through eighth grades. After substitute teaching, Mrs. Mikes taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades. Mrs. Mikes graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and administration, from Chapman University, where she was the student speaker for her graduating class.  Mrs. Mikes has furthered her education by obtaining her teaching credentials, as well as a master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction. Mrs. Mikes is also a registered dental assistant and loves biology. Mrs. Mikes is married to a wonderful man with whom she shares three beautiful children. Her children attend KVCS in third grade, fourth grade, and junior high. Mrs. Mikes enjoys watching her children play ice hockey, soccer and softball.  During hockey season you will find her cheering on the Dallas Stars!  Mrs. Mikes loves children and she has known for quite some time that this is the calling God has placed on her life.
