Though Mrs. Harpham was born in Maryland, she was raised in Santa Barbara, California. Mrs. Harpham graduated from Lewis and Clark College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  After graduating from college, Mrs. Harpham moved to Walnut Creek, where she married and had two children. Currently, her older son attends San Francisco State University, and her daughter attends Diablo Valley College.  Mrs. Harpham has taught eight years in kindergarten, and this is her second year as a first-grade teacher, where she feels she has found her niche. Mrs. Harpham loves the children in her care. She is an avid tennis player and has won several championships. She also enjoys taking care of her garden.
